    Hi All...

Can someone with full access to the NYT send me the complete article found here:

    https://www.nytimes.com/2024/11/18/business/ev-chargers-store-parking-lots.html

Readerview in Firefox seems to block the paywall, but i am not sure if the whole article is visible despite that.

    Thx!

NEVERMIND. I found out that Tg's "Instant View" on the mobile app works wonderfully.

Fantastic. Thanks for the tip, Jay!

There some WSJ articles that looked interesting. The
archive.ph system works well with those!

It seems the NY times paywall doesn't get fooled by turning off
Javascript in developer tools anymore. :(

I'm just getting sick of seeing the disparity in charging - seeing 14
Tesla superchargers and 4 EVGo chargers, then finding out that 2 of the
    EVgo chargers aren't working.

I've started commuting 75 miles each way in my BMW i3, which gets aroud
120 miles highway plus another 70 miles with the gas-powered range
extender. I've had very poor luck finding a working charger along my
route - even the chargers in my company's parking lot were working at
    25% capacity (1 of 4).

And, not only do I need to take time out to charge, but getting on and
off the freeway adds delays during commute hours.

The parking lot finally installed 12 new chargers, and it's been great.
I get in at around 50% charge, charge during the day, move my car around
2pm, get a cup of coffee and go back to the office. Drive home with a
    full charge.

Wow.. I would never consider a 75 mile commute, especially with
    a ICE vehicle.

    Were they a particular brand?

4 up to 12 is good. Are the original 4 still there? Are the
    12 working 100%?

I wouldn't have, otherwise, but this is an opportunity that I couldn't
pass up; it's a perfect match for my experience and a great group of
people. I'm only doing it one day a week, thankfully.

No, Electrify America, Blink and EVGo. The best luck seems to be EVGo
chargers at Whole Foods Grocery stores; the state of chargers
definitely seems to follow the overall affluence of the neighborhood.

The 4 were gone as soon as the 12 came in. So far the new chargers are
    working great.

We'll see how my EV with little skinny tires holds up in winter storms
    - I may end up relenting and getting a Lexus or a Subaru Outback.

    Hello Mortar M.!

    ...a ICE vehicle.

    "ICE"?

Shorthand for "Interal Combustion Engine". "ICE" is often used
in printed articles, especially when EV (Electric Vehicles) are
    discussed with ICE vehicles.
